I have the small one too, this one is bigger and there is no odd rubber bung in the bottom, still not sure what thats supposed to do anyway.Over all, good. coffee tastes good. I hate metal and plastic cups. I would get glass but never found one. Plus Starbucks gets free advertising, which im not a big fan of, star bucks coffee tastes lousy unless you grind your own fresh beans. I like central American beans, ive become a coffee snob. I don't buy star bucks beans though , I get beans from Amazon or BJ's. Some say the lid falls off, no it doesn't. Clean it every day, clean the rubber seal too but don't rip it by accident taking it out. All kinds of coffee crud gets trapped underneath it.The plastic lid and rubber seal do wear out, eventually. My little one has worn out after like 5 years of daily use. Oh, its ceramic, so yeah, if you put it ontop of your car while your looking for the keys and it slides off, its gonna break. Almost happend to me but caught it, lid stayed on and no spilling either. Thats why I give it 5 stars. I just need a bigger one, wait, maybe I take the whole pot of coffee with me tommorow... oh darn, it won't fit in cup holder. passenger seat maybe? hmmm.If you want a cup that keeps your coffee hot all day, keep looking. If you want one that is unbreakable, keep looking. If you want one that is spill proof, keep looking.But if you think sucking scalding hot, tinny-tasting coffee out of some stainless steel monstrosity is not even worth the bother, then you may have found your cup. I love this thing. There is nothing like drinking coffee from porcelain, it just tastes better. And I prefer a cup that lets the coffee cool gradually to the point where you are not hyperventilating as you try not to scald your mouth. It's a bit pricy, it gets a little too warm to the touch but it fits in the cupholder, does a reasonable job of confining the coffee during bumps and jostles, and improves my morning commute significantly.This was a cup replacement. The original cup was dropped and this is it's replacement. It came as promised but it was still in it's used state. Dirty. That was a let down. Thank God I saw it before It was given to it's new owner!The product itself is fine. It does what it's supposed to do. However, I paid 20.99 for this product as a gift for someone last minute and did t really think of the price. When I got said product it had a price stamp on it for 14.99 WHAT THE HECK! I purchased through prime, but feel I got duped. My recommendation is if you need it in a pinch sure buy it and pay 6.04 shipping and handling! Crazy! Y'all should just put the actual price and say 6.04 shipping and handling. Oh right because no one would buy it then right! SMH!This is my wife's favorite cup, she uses it everyday. It is double layer, so it insulates well. Only giving four stars because it broke rather easily and I had to buy her another one.It appears to be very nice. It is a gift so have not been able to see if it keeps the beverages warm.This is perfect for me. It's exactly the right size, it keeps my coffee warm for my 1 hour commute, and the lid is very easy to open and close. Best of all, it does not dribble onto my clothes.Just what I wanted. I have several of these and, contrary to the direction, I was them all in the dishwasher....always have and always will!
